New Flower Applique Quilt WIP

This is the latest project that I am working on. I am almost done with the applique but ran out of green thread. And of course it is a holiday so nothing is open. I cannot wait to try quilting it on my bernina. The patterns are from none other then Kellie from Don't look now. My inspiration is from a photo on her blog from someone who made a quilt from her patterns and also from this awesome quilt that you see at Jillysspace.

The kids had fun this morning. I hid eggs outside and froze my butt off! I cannot believe it is so cold in April! Yesterday we actually had some rain and snow mixture. Where is the warm weather?? Have a great day!

First of all..wow! This quilt is going to be gorgeous! How are you doing the applique? I did the blanket stitch and to tell the truth did not enjoy the process..lol. But so worth it, I just love her work.
I can't wait to see it done!

  4. You deserved the acknowledgement! Your quilt is beautiful! I did the applique blanket stitch around them too. Then I also use that stitch that looks like 3 broken lines in 3 rows if that makes sense lol. It does a foward foward back stitch and looks really nice.
